The family in the Darfur centre has expanded with new boys who came in July. Their attitude is often consistent with what you would expect from new boys coming off the streets. Sullen, angry, not exactly apt to listen or respect authority and not always happy to be there. But the love of the staff and the other boys slowly changes their hearts and the new boys are now happy to be a part of the family.
Recently the boys, staff and their families had a chance to picnic together. It was a lovely afternoon away from the centre, eating together, enjoying each other's company, playing games and having all sorts of fun. There are not many opportunities for everyone to get away for the day, so when they have the chance, it is always a day to remember.
